In 2005, UT Medical Group, Inc. (UTMG), the faculty group practice of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, implemented a system-wide electronic medical record (EMR) called TouchWorks (v10). Two years later, UTMG recognized the need to upgrade to the newest version (v11). Their goal: to lead the transition successfully and to ensure fast, sustainable adoption of the new application by more than 1,000 users in 20 clinics and three administrative offices in the Memphis area.
