The Breakaway Group, A Xerox Company, announces a new collaboration with Covenant Health to adopt NextGen EPM/EMR (Ambulatory) and McKesson Horizon Clinicals (Inpatient).

April 10, 2012
Headquartered in Knoxville, TN, Covenant Health is East Tennessee's leading healthcare provider, and its hospitals, clinics, and services are known for excellence, quality and value. Established in 1996 by the consolidation of Fort Sanders Health System, Knoxville, Tennessee, and MMC HealthCare System in Oak Ridge, Covenant Health is governed by a voluntary board of directors made up of community leaders and medical professionals.

For several years, Covenant Health has been named among the top 100 integrated health systems in the country by SDI, a national healthcare information and data analysis organization. In 2011 Covenant ranked #37, which means that among the 600 or so health systems that participate in this annual ranking, Covenant Health demonstrated exceptional performance in clinical quality, access to services, information technology, financial stability, physicians, and leadership. They have also been named by Thomson Reuters to a prestigious list of the Top 51 best-performing health systems in the U.S. in terms of quality, length of stay, patient safety, evidence-based outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Most recently, three Covenant Health hospitals: Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, and Parkwest and Fort Sanders Regional Medical Centers in Knoxville have been ranked among the top five hospitals in the Knoxville metro area in U.S. News Media & World Report’s 2011-12 Best Hospitals rankings.
